Hi, my name is
Kelsey Toczek
Based in Buffalo, NY
This is the first web development project I created. When creating
this project, I chose something that I am extremely passionate about
- photography.
My favorite type of photography is street photography. I love the
candid nature of it. I also prefer the look and feel of film
photography - although it is not a cheap hobby. To save money on
film, I try to emulate the look of film photography by using editing
tools like Adobe Lightroom.
With this webpage I used more advanced web development techniques
and tools to build my interactive vanilla JS weather webpage.
I used API to get live weather forecasts, geolocation, and build a
city search function. This webpage is hosted using Netlify.
My aesthetics for this wepage were inspired by a retro-vibe. I love
the rich warm color palette of the 60s & 70s.

7 different technical documentation examples.
This portfolio was created as part of my Capstone Project for
Technical Writer HQ. I recieved my Technical Writer Certification in
August of 2022.
For my first ever webpage using React, I chose to create a very
clean and sleek design. Don't let the simplicity of this
design fool you - this webpage is still very powerful!
React is an open-sourced JavaScript framework & library developed by Facebook. By using React on this project, I built an interactive Weather webpage more quickly and efficently than with vanilla JS.
